[It's around eleven or so at night when this message goes onto the network, about an hour later than Emily is used to staying up. It's her first night having left New Bark Town for the first time, and she isn't used to traveling or being alone outside. It's... honestly scary. But when she goes onto the network, she's trying her hardest to sound calm.]
Is anyone else awake? I can't sleep. I finally left New Bark Town. Traveling is fun! A lot more fun than I could ever have imagined. Everything is just so exciting and there is so much to see!
[But now it's night time, and everything is catching up to her and it's dark and scary and weh.]
I haven't ever slept outside before. There are so many noises... I keep thinking- [That her kidnappers are going to find her again] how exciting it will be to make it to the next town.
Does anyone want to talk for a while, maybe? Even if it is late?

on 2013-03-04 02:36 pm (UTC)I wouldn't mind talking with you. I can't really get to sleep either myself. [With that much worry on her mind, how could she?]

on 2013-03-05 06:18 am (UTC)Hello! It's nice to meet you. [She offers a small smile.] Thank you for talking to me.

[He listens to the voice on the other end as she talks about leaving New Bark Town. She can't be too far away from him, a few miles at most, as he's just left too.
And he can't sleep either. Insomnia's plagued him for a while now, so he's used to being tired and jumpy at every bump in the night, but that doesn't mean he would say no to company. She sounds like she's trying to sound put together, which is pretty much how he feels, too.]
Yeah, um, I don't mind talking. The noises are pretty creepy, you know? And my cat weasel thing keeps looking at me like it thinks I'll taste good with barbecue sauce.
ahhh thank you! :3
on 2013-03-05 06:33 am (UTC)They are... And wow, that sounds weird! I have a Pokemon named Ralts and he seems pretty friendly. Maybe you should be careful...?

on 2013-03-04 06:58 pm (UTC)Yeah, after you've been here awhile, you get used to the nature noises at night.
S'normal to be creeped out at first, though.
[Judging by the (admittedly dark) background on the screen though, Heather's in a cushy hotel room, not a campground.]

on 2013-03-05 06:43 am (UTC)I'm not scared! [Lies. But she doesn't want to admit it.] It's just hard to sleep with the noises, is all. They aren't scary... just... loud.
And weird.

on 2013-03-05 06:49 pm (UTC)Yeeeeaaaah.
Just for the record, if you hear a noise like a dying old woman screaming, don't freak.
It's just a Hoothoot.
[OWLS, MAN.]

on 2013-03-06 08:20 am (UTC)[ And speaking a little more quietly than she might normally considering that her Growlithe isn't, but her enthusiasm makes up for her decreased volume. Why is she awake? Well, that tends to happen when you get kicked off the bed quite literally by an oversized puppy Pokemon and can't quite get back to sleep even after crawling back under the covers. Hikaru smiles all the same. ]
I'd be happy to talk with you for a while!

on 2013-03-13 01:20 am (UTC)[ Valeria smiles unseen at that, recalling the message Emily left for her in her inbox. She had a feeling the girl would sooner than later. ]
I'm glad to hear that. If you think you can fit me in, I'd be happy to talk with you for a while.
