Second Drawing; Voice

[It's around eleven or so at night when this message goes onto the network, about an hour later than Emily is used to staying up. It's her first night having left New Bark Town for the first time, and she isn't used to traveling or being alone outside. It's... honestly scary. But when she goes onto the network, she's trying her hardest to sound calm.]

Is anyone else awake? I can't sleep. I finally left New Bark Town. Traveling is fun! A lot more fun than I could ever have imagined. Everything is just so exciting and there is so much to see!

[But now it's night time, and everything is catching up to her and it's dark and scary and weh.]

I haven't ever slept outside before. There are so many noises... I keep thinking- [That her kidnappers are going to find her again] how exciting it will be to make it to the next town.

Does anyone want to talk for a while, maybe? Even if it is late?

That was a joke. The family business has always been media arts - photography, film, music. Etc.

Photography is using a special device to capture a copy image of what you're seeing. There's a lot of technical shit involved but people do it to physically hold onto a moment they want to keep for as long as they can. Memory is good and all, but pictures help you remember. If that makes any sense.

Portraits are pretty cool. Ever done a self portrait?

You know, that's one thing you can do here. You could use pokes to travel out into the sea then dive down under the water. With a camera, pictures of it are pretty easy. So you'd have something to sketch when you got back to land.

Dude, whales only eat tiny little things called krill. They're the gentle giants of the deep.

That would be sharks. They only decide to get their chomp on because people swimming around looks like tasty seal flesh.
