[It's around eleven or so at night when this message goes onto the network, about an hour later than Emily is used to staying up. It's her first night having left New Bark Town for the first time, and she isn't used to traveling or being alone outside. It's... honestly scary. But when she goes onto the network, she's trying her hardest to sound calm.]

Is anyone else awake? I can't sleep. I finally left New Bark Town. Traveling is fun! A lot more fun than I could ever have imagined. Everything is just so exciting and there is so much to see!

[But now it's night time, and everything is catching up to her and it's dark and scary and weh.]

I haven't ever slept outside before. There are so many noises... I keep thinking- [That her kidnappers are going to find her again] how exciting it will be to make it to the next town.

Does anyone want to talk for a while, maybe? Even if it is late?

Yeah, after you've been here awhile, you get used to the nature noises at night.

[When she gets a glimpse of the dark background and realizes that Heather is in a hotel, Emily is a little jealous. She had thought camping would be fun and exciting, not... scary. She really wishes she were in a hotel, too.]

I'm not scared! [Lies. But she doesn't want to admit it.] It's just hard to sleep with the noises, is all. They aren't scary... just... loud.

Just for the record, if you hear a noise like a dying old woman screaming, don't freak.

Dangerous? Hell nah, they're like... nocturnal beach balls covered in feathers.

They just sound like the devil.

Nocturnal... beach balls? What's a beach ball? But it's good they aren't dangerous. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for them and remember that they only sound scary.

... You don't know what... oh. Right. _{[Sometimes people weren't modern. :T]} Uh... never mind. It's not important.

Anyway.

Yeah. They're not bad.

Even if they're like... terminally grumpy, the most they can do is scratch you up. And I've only ever met one like that and that one is just crazy, so.

Oh... Okay then.

And I guess scratches aren't so bad! I've gotten scratched before, it's not that scary or painful. Do you think I should try catching one, or should I just leave them alone? Are they powerful?

They're not powerhouses, no.

I don't battle with mine a whole lot...
